Description
Technical Parameters

The Single-Filter Air-Purifying Respirator is a reusable half-mask facepiece utilizing a single bayonet-mount filter port to protect operators in hazardous industrial environments. Engineered with a balanced central intake pathway, this respirator directs incoming airflow through a single replaceable cartridge while maintaining a low-profile field of vision compatible with safety eyewear and protective face shields.

Key Features

01/

Single-Port Bayonet Interface: Standardized twist-lock connection accommodates compatible gas cartridges and particulate filters securely.

02/

Ergonomic Sealing Edge: Contoured elastomeric flange adapts to diverse facial profiles to maintain a consistent seal during movement.

03/

Low-Resistance Exhalation Valve: Large-surface flapper valve opens rapidly under minimal pressure to exhaust heat and moisture.

04/

Four-Point Head Harness: Adjustable polyester straps distribute tension evenly across the crown to prevent pressure points.

05/

Unobstructed Downward Vision: Narrow front profile allows a wide visual field for inspection and precision tasks.

Use & Maintenance

Pre-Use Inspection

  • Inspect the elastomeric facepiece for tears, cracks, cuts, or distortion along the sealing flange.
  • Check that the inhalation and exhalation valve flaps lie flat and undamaged on their respective seats.
  • Verify that head harness straps retain full elasticity and adjustment buckles hold tension securely.

User Seal Checks

  • Negative Pressure Check: Cover the single filter intake port with the palm of your hand, inhale gently, and hold your breath for 10 seconds. The facepiece should collapse slightly inward against the face without air leaking around the seal.
  • Positive Pressure Check: Cover the exhalation valve outlet with your palm, exhale gently, and hold for 10 seconds. The facepiece should bulge outward slightly without air escaping through the facial sealing edge.

Cleaning & Storage

  • Washing: Remove filter cartridges and disassemble valve flaps. Wash the facepiece in warm water ($\le 40^\circ\text{C}$) mixed with a neutral detergent.
  • Rinsing & Drying: Rinse thoroughly with clean running water and air-dry in a clean area away from direct sunlight.
  • Storage: Store the clean, dry respirator in its original packaging or a sealed storage bag, away from chemical vapors, dust, and direct heat.

FAQ

Q: What is the main benefit of a single-filter respirator versus a dual-filter model?

A: A single-filter configuration reduces front-end weight and provides an unobstructed downward line of sight, making it ideal for tasks requiring close-up visual inspection or compatibility with face shields.

Q: How often should the elastomeric facepiece body be replaced?

A: The reusable silicone or TPE facepiece body typically lasts 3 to 5 years depending on maintenance frequency. Replace immediately if the material becomes rigid, sticky, torn, or fails the user seal check.

Q: Are the bayonet filter ports compatible with standard European filter cartridges?

A: Yes, the single-port bayonet interface is built to EN 140 standard dimensions, allowing secure twist-lock attachment with matching EN 14387 gas and particulate filter lines.

Q: Can alcohol wipes be used to disinfect the mask between shifts?

A: Yes, the silicone or TPE facepiece can be wiped down with a 70% isopropyl alcohol solution. Ensure the mask is completely dry before reinstalling filters.

Q: What compliance documentation is included with bulk commercial orders?

A: Each shipment includes official Certificates of Conformity, EN 140 test reports, and traceable batch inspection records.
