Description
Technical Parameters

The Single-Filter Silicone Respirator is a reusable half-mask facepiece incorporating a liquid silicone sealing flange, a single center-mount connection port, a downward exhalation valve, and a four-point adjustable head harness. The liquid silicone sealing boundary conforms to facial contours under varying clamping forces, maintaining edge contact during jaw movement. Operating with a single filter interface, this model reduces overall weight on the nasal bridge and balances center-of-gravity placement during prolonged wear in chemical handling, surface coating, and metal grinding operations.

Key Features

Liquid Silicone Sealing Flange: Hypoallergenic formulation resists skin oils and thermal hardening, maintaining boundary elasticity between -10°C and +55°C.

Central Bayonet Connector: Single-port interface streamlines filter replacement procedures and simplifies consumable inventory management.

Downward Exhalation Valve: Large-diameter silicone diaphragm channels exhaled moisture and warm air away from protective eyewear to minimize fogging.

Four-Point Adjustable Harness: Woven elastic straps with crown support distribute tension across the skull to prevent facepiece slipping.

Integrated Chin Pocket: Internal condensation gutter directs moisture away from the lower sealing edge during continuous operation.

Use & Maintenance

Pre-Use Inspection Procedure
Examine the silicone facepiece body for mechanical damage, tears, or residue build-up around the sealing edge. Verify that the inhalation and exhalation valve diaphragms are clean, flat, and securely positioned on their valve seats without distortion.

Seal Check Procedure

  • Positive Pressure Seal Check: Cover the exhalation valve housing with the palm of the hand and exhale gently. The facepiece should inflate slightly without air escaping around the perimeter seal.
  • Negative Pressure Seal Check: Cover the filter connection port with the palm, inhale gently, and hold breath for 10 seconds. The mask facepiece should collapse slightly inward against the face without air leakage.

Cleaning & Storage

  • Remove all filter cartridges and spare components prior to washing.
  • Clean the silicone mask body in warm water with mild detergent (water temperature must not exceed 50°C).
  • Do not use aromatic solvents, gasoline, or strong acidic/alkaline cleaning agents.
  • Air-dry in a clean environment away from direct sunlight and radiant heat. Store in a sealed container or bag.

FAQ

Q: What are the primary differences between Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) and Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) in half-mask construction?

A: Liquid Silicone Rubber features higher thermal resistance and lower compression set compared to TPE. LSR maintains structural memory and perimeter elasticity within a temperature range of -10°C to +55°C without hardening over time. It demonstrates higher resistance to facial oils, perspiration, and repeated thermal washing cycles.

Q: What connection mechanism is integrated into this single-filter facepiece?

A: The standard configuration utilizes a central bayonet twist-lock fitting compatible with standard bayonet filter cartridges. Modified connection types (such as threaded ports) can be produced through custom mold tooling.

Q: What is the recommended cleaning method for the liquid silicone facepiece?

A: Detach filter cartridges before washing. Wash the facepiece in warm water with neutral detergent at temperatures below 50°C. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry at ambient room temperature. Isopropyl alcohol wipes can be used for surface wipe-downs between shifts.

Q: What factors determine the replacement schedule for the mask body and filters?

A: The liquid silicone facepiece body has an operational service life of 2 to 3 years depending on maintenance procedures and chemical exposure levels. Gas filter cartridges require replacement when the user detects organic vapor odor or taste inside the mask chamber. Particulate filters must be replaced when breathing resistance increases due to dust accumulation.

Q: What quality control documents accompany OEM production shipments?

A: Each bulk shipment includes Factory Inspection Certificates, Batch Certificate of Analysis (CoA), Material Compliance Sheets, and User Manual leaflets printed in specified target languages.
