The safety helmet product is licensed by the state, and there are more than 100 licensed enterprises. There are many types of this product. How to choose and use it correctly?
1. Qualified products should be selected
Safety helmets must be produced in accordance with the national standard GB2811. Products leaving the factory must pass inspection by the quality inspection department to meet the standard requirements before being issued a product certificate of conformity. When purchasing safety helmets, it is necessary to check whether the production license certificate and validity period are held.
2. Choose suitable varieties
(1) According to the performance selection of safety helmets: each type of safety helmet has certain technical performance indicators and its applicable range.
(2) The selection of styles includes large brimmed hats and large tongue hats, which are suitable for outdoor work. These safety helmets have the function of protecting against sun and rain, while small brimmed hats are commonly used in narrow places with small activity ranges such as indoors, tunnels, culverts, tunnels, forests, and scaffolding, where hat edge collisions are prone to occur.
(3) The color of safety helmets should follow the principles of safety psychology. The internationally recognized yellow and black bars are warning signs, while red indicates signs of restriction or prohibition; Blue serves as a display, etc. Therefore, for safety helmets used in ordinary occupations, it is advisable to use white, light yellow, and light green. For mining safety helmets, coal mines are accustomed to using black color, which may not be visible due to the black contamination of the helmet caused by coal dust, while other colors are easily noticeable. However, using black miner's hats clearly does not comply with the principles of safety ergonomics, as the lighting in the mine is poor. When the contrast between light and dark is not obvious, black miner's hats are prone to safety accidents due to visual blurring. Therefore, bright colors should be used to facilitate detection and alert. In addition to black, there are other colors for miner's hats, and reflective or luminescent materials are attached to the safety helmet to attract people's attention in low light. Some departments use safety helmets of different colors to distinguish between positions, such as safety management personnel wearing white helmets with green cross markings, and maintenance personnel wearing orange red helmets. At forest harvesting sites, red or orange safety helmets are eye-catching and easy to spot. Purple and coffee bag safety helmets are commonly used in radioactive work environments. In flammable and explosive workplaces, large red safety helmets are often used.
