Description
Technical Parameters

The Chemical-Filter Air-Purifying Respirator utilizes a reusable elastomeric facepiece mated with dual chemical cartridges to protect operators from specific airborne gas and vapor hazards. During inhalation, ambient air passes through activated carbon beds and optional particulate filter media, stripping targeted chemical contaminants before delivery to the respiratory tract.

Key Features

Dual Bayonet Interface: Standardized twist-lock connection ensures secure, leak-free cartridge mounting and balanced weight distribution.
Low-Resistance Exhalation Valve: Channels exhaled breath and moisture downward to reduce internal heat accumulation and visor fogging.
Ergonomic Facial Seal: Engineered flange contours to diverse facial profiles to minimize pressure points while maintaining continuous contact.
Four-Point Head Harness: Woven elastic straps distribute tension evenly across the crown and neck to prevent slippage during active movement.
Impregnated Activated Carbon Media: High-density shell housing granular carbon engineered for chemical vapor adsorption.

Design & Components

Facepiece Body: Molded from medical-grade Thermoplastic Elastomer or Liquid Silicone Rubber, resistant to chemical degradation.
Filter Cartridges: Polypropylene housing packed with activated carbon and optional particulate filtration layers.
Valves: Precision silicone membrane inhalation and exhalation flaps that seat instantly to prevent air backflow.
Head Harness Assembly: High-elasticity polyester straps equipped with quick-release acetal buckles.
Sealing Gaskets: Integrated elastomeric O-rings at port junctions to eliminate bypass leakage.

02/

Inorganic and Acid Gas Cartridges: For chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide.

03/

Ammonia Cartridges: Formulated for ammonia and organic ammonia derivatives.

04/

Combined Multi-Gas Cartridges: Broad-spectrum defense against multi-chemical industrial exposures.

05/

Particulate Pre-filters and Retainer Caps: Snap-on particulate filters for dust, mists, and aerosols, mounted over chemical cartridges to extend service life.

06/

Replacement Valves and Straps: Field-serviceable silicone membrane valves and head harness kits.

Use & Maintenance

Pre-Use Inspection: Inspect the facepiece body for cracks, tears, or distortion. Verify that inhalation and exhalation valves are clean, pliable, and seated correctly. Perform positive and negative pressure seal checks before entering contaminated zones.

Cleaning and Sanitization: Detach all filter cartridges and pre-filters. Wash the elastomeric facepiece in warm water at or below 40 degrees Celsius using a neutral detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and air dry in a contamination-free environment away from direct sunlight.

Storage Protocol: Store the cleaned respirator in a sealed storage bag or container, away from direct sunlight, extreme heat, moisture, and chemical vapors.

Cartridge Replacement Guidelines: Replace chemical cartridges immediately upon detecting any breakthrough or in accordance with a strict workplace exposure change-out schedule.

FAQ

Q: What specific chemical hazards do these cartridges filter out?

A: Depending on the selected cartridge class, the respirator protects against organic vapors from solvents, inorganic acid gases, sulfur dioxide, and ammonia derivatives.

Q: How do operators determine when to replace the chemical cartridges?

A: Cartridges must be replaced based on a pre-determined change-out schedule established for the specific workplace concentration, or immediately if the user detects any chemical odor, taste, or breathing resistance increase.

Q: Can particulate filters be combined with chemical cartridges?

A: Yes. Using retainer clips, particulate pre-filters can be snapped directly onto the face of the chemical cartridges to provide combined gas, vapor, and dust protection.

Q: How is a negative-pressure user seal check performed?

A: The user places the palms of their hands over the cartridge intake ports, inhales gently so the facepiece collapses slightly, and holds their breath for 10 seconds. If the mask remains collapsed without air leaking inward around the edges, the seal is verified.

Q: What customization options are available for bulk orders?

A: Buyers can specify custom elastomeric body colors, request private-label logo printing on the head harness straps, and design customized inner carton packaging with specific compliance markings.
